2. Visiting Eventbrite (online event website). With New York selected as your location, type in the search bar DASA training. Select ECF’s DASA Training (picture with “Stop bullying me. I am a person”) and process your payment. Course access and login information will be provided within 24 hours.
This Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Training workshop is for educator certification in New York State. DASA Training addresses harassment, bullying, and discrimination prevention and intervention in schools. DASA Training is fully self-study online (6 hours) with a pre-recorded instructor.
This training is low-stress and can be completed same day or within 2 weeks of enrollment. Easy to understand information, created for adult learners. No hassle! Complete this training from the comforts of your home, office or anywhere. Course completion is submitted electronically with 7 days to NYS Offices of Teaching and your Teach Account. Use a debit or credit to enroll at any time. This course requires reliable internet connection, speakers, and a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer. Valid email address is required to receive instructions, course links, and receipts.
DASA Training content:
- Introduction to the Dignity Act
- Understanding Diversity, Multi-cultural Environments, and Examining Personal Biases.
- Developing sensitivity to the experiences of specific student populations.
- Participants will understand the indicators and early warning signs.
- Understanding how school climate and culture have an impact on student achievement and behavior.
- Understanding how school climate and culture have an impact on student achievement and behavior.
- Participants will learn intervention and prevention strategies including how to interact with families.
- Reporting requirements for educators

THE COURSE MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN TWO (2) WEEKS OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION. IF THE COURSE IS NOT COMPLETED WITHIN TWO (2) WEEKS OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION, THE COURSE WILL BE DEREGISTERED AND ALL COURSE PROGRESS WILL BE FORFEITED. REREGISTRATION FOR THE COURSE WILL REQUIRE A NEW, SEPARATE PAYMENT.
The course certificate is generated with the name of the person who purchases this course. Under no circumstance will the names on certificates be substituted by our staff. No substitutions or refunds are available.
Online course participants must have access to the Internet, a device with audio and video capabilities (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), a printer, and an email address.
Payment on behalf of another party is not accepted. Debit and credit cards are acceptable forms of payment and must be in the student or course participant’s name.
RECHECK all forms for accuracy. It is the responsibility of each course participant to enter their correct information into the system for their certificate and reporting.
